To be held by Applied Equine Podiatrist Ian Whatley www.appliedequinepodiatry.info and will begin at 9.30am on both days and finish around 5pm.

DAY ONE

Morning – studying the structures that make up the equine hoof, how they are supposed to interact and what today’s scientific knowledge tells us about their function.

Afternoon – Continuation of interactive lecture on the hoof structures with examples of both healthy and unhealthy hooves and problems such as Laminitis, navicular, white line disease, thrush, founder, hoof cracks etc as well as how best to treat them.

DAY TWO

Morning - Functional anatomy of the Equine Distal Limb explained and demonstrated through dissection helping you to understand the internal workings of the hoof and how they are effected by the external structures.

Afternoon – examples of what we can learn from hoof wear patterns, how to recognise problems such as incorrect saddle fit, poorly balanced rider, muscle injury, digestive issues and much more.

The two day course is held by Applied Equine Podiatrist Ian Whatley and will begin at 9.30am on both days and finish around 5pm.
